The Kratos RES-Q 2 Downward Evacuation Device, 20 m is designed for quick and controlled rescue operations from height. It combines an automatic, redundant braking system with semi-static kernmantle rope to give rescuers a simple, reliable way to lower a person to safety.

  • Controlled descent speed of < 2 m/sec, regardless of the load (up to 141 kg).
  • Supplied with 9.6 mm semi-static kernmantle rope assembled to the device.
  • Rope ends finished with double figure-of-eight knots for secure karabiner connection.
  • Delivered with two hooks, ref. FA 50 220 21.
  • Automatic and redundant brake system for added safety.

For specific lengths or replacement components, use the following references:

  • FA 70 111 00: Device only.
  • FA 70 109 99: Kernmantle rope per metre.
  • FA 70 109 98: Required length of rope with double figure-of-eight knots and automatic locking hook.

The Kratos RES-Q 2 downward evacuation device is intended for emergency rescue and controlled evacuation from height, for example:

Inspection & Maintenance

The device and rope should be inspected by a competent person at least once a year or every 2000 m of rope used, whichever comes first. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for detailed inspection and maintenance guidance.
