Prolift Handling was formed in March 2013 with a clear mission: to become Ireland’s most trusted partner in lifting, material handling, and height safety. In just over a decade, we have not only achieved that goal but also grown to become the largest distributor in Ireland and one of the leading suppliers across Europe.

Our success has been built on three pillars: quality products, expert service, and a strong commitment to safety. Today, Prolift represents world-class manufacturers, delivers nationwide inspections and servicing, and provides training that empowers businesses to work more safely and efficiently.

We are proud to be an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:14001 accredited company and an active member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA). These accreditations reflect our dedication to both quality and sustainability.

Our Growth Story


From our headquarters in Dublin, we started as a small but determined team, focusing on supplying equipment and delivering inspections. Very quickly, customers recognised that Prolift offered something unique — not just products, but complete solutions supported by responsive service.

Over the years, demand grew. We expanded our product range, built stronger partnerships with global suppliers, and developed a nationwide service division that became the largest of its kind in Ireland. To strengthen our reach further, we established a Cork office, bringing our expertise closer to customers in the south and west.
Every step of our growth has been guided by the same principle: to deliver safety, reliability, and value.

Service Division – The Largest in Ireland

Prolift Handling has built the largest service and inspection division in the country, with over 20 fully qualified service engineers. Our team travels nationwide to:
  • Inspect equipment in line with GA1 and LOLER regulations.
  • Test and certify lifting and height safety products.
  • Service and repair equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance and safety.
This division is at the core of what makes Prolift different. We don’t just sell equipment — we make sure it remains safe, compliant, and operational for years to come. For our clients, this means peace of mind, reduced downtime, and ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Training Division – Sharing Knowledge

We believe that safety is not only about equipment but also about people. That’s why Prolift offers a dedicated training division designed to empower operators and teams. Our training courses include:

  • Online courses such as Safe Use of Chain Slings.
  • Classroom training, including Working at Height Safety Awareness (delivered at customer sites for groups of up to 8).
  • Tailored programmes for companies needing specific safety and lifting instruction.

  3. Training – educating teams and operators to ensure compliance and build a culture of safety.
